Dean Kamen at the Franklin Institute

On Wednesday, April 20th, FIRST founder Dean Kamen will be in Philadelphia for two events at the Franklin Institute.

First, at 2:00 PM, is Maker Field Day with Dean Kamen and NextFab Studio. The Franklin Institute will host an afternoon of constructive competition as makers nad hackers from the region attempt to outdo each other in a show of inventive force. From BristleBots to foam cars, sparks will fly and wheels will turn as they solder and race their way to victory!

Then, at 6:00 PM, Dean will be delivering a talk entitled "The Future Belongs to the Innovators". Consider the importance of innovation, science, engineering, and technology to the future of our society with acclaimed inventor, entrepreneur, and engineer Dean Kamen, recipient of The Franklin Institute’s 2011 Benjamin Franklin Medal in Mechanical Engineering. This event is presented as part of The Franklin Institute Awards Week Celebration of Science, generously underwritten by Cephalon, Inc.
