Donald H. Bowers

Donald serves as Regional Director for Delaware, New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. He has been involved with FIRST since 1995 when a member of management at ETHICON, INC. - a Johnson & Johnson Company - he helped start the second FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team in New Jersey. The following year he was asked to lead an effort to organize a FRC event for 8 Mid-Atlantic states - that was first held at Rutgers in 1997. For the FRC events at Rutgers he also served as Master of Ceremonies. In October 2007 after a 24-year career at J&J and a three-year stint at the New York Blood Center, Donald was appointed a FIRST Regional Director for New York City and New Jersey. He assumed his present position in July 2010 succeeding the Founding Regional Director of Philadelphia FIRST, Carol Kauffman. Donald has a BA from Montclair State College and a MA from New York University. He lives in Branchburg NJ with his wife, Patti, and they have three adult children. Donald also has an adult daughter and two teenage grandchildren from a previous marriage.

Nate is FIRST's Senior Mentor in New Jersey.

Carl Schreep

Carl is the Americorps VISTA partnered with FIRST in the Mid-Atlantic Region. A graduate of Oberlin College and Duke University, Carl is based out of Coatesville, PA. As part of the VISTA mission, Carl is working specifically to build sustainability for FIRST and to help FIRST reach new students in underserved areas to give them access to the many opportunities participation in FIRST programs provides.
